About

Charlie Antolin is a Northern California based artist specializing in figurative drawing, painting, and sculpture. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in drawing and painting from the Laguna College of Art and Design where he graduated in 2018. He is currently studying painting under David Hardy at the Atelier School of Classical Realism in Oakland and teaches artistic anatomy at the atelier.

Charlie is represented by the A.C.C.I. Gallery, Arts and Crafts Cooperative Incorporated, in Berkeley.

In his work he synthesizes observation with conceptual anatomical knowledge to create figures that are life like yet have an underlying structure and clarity lent by ideal forms. In his paintings he draws from the indirect layered techniques of Rembrandt and Titian to create a variety of textures and realistic effect of light.
